An independent journalist and the founder of Makna Talks, a media company based in Jakarta. With over a decade of experience in the media industry, he has worn many hats, from hosting a morning TV show at SEA Today, working as a journalist and photojournalist for VICE Media, to broadcasting on the iconic Hard Rock FM.

Beyond his work behind the mic, Iyas currently hosts The Friday Podcast at Makna Talks, while also taking on roles as a moderator and MC for various events. A graduate in Art and Design from a leading university in Jakarta, his creative background continues to shape his storytelling and visual approach to journalism.

Under his leadership, Makna Talks has grown into a key voice in Jakarta’s media scene, known for its thoughtful, honest, and engaging content across platforms.

These days, Iyas is also exploring new creative grounds , appearing in films and series, and currently writing his first book that will be published in 2026.
